Ok Lounge...When would you be concerned?
Scenario: You have a best friend, who's been such for 17 years or so. You're incredibly close and get along awesomely 99% of the time. You email at least every other day, but usually every day, a couple times a day. You talk on the phone once or twice a week.

You go to see your friend over the weekend and have a kick-ass time, it's all good. On Sunday, it's time to go, you say goodbye, I love you, email me when you get home so I know you got back safely, etc. etc. All normal, so far.

You get home, send aforementioned email.

No response. Odd, but whatever.

Monday...no email. Send your usual "how's your day going? how'd the test go?" email later in the day.

No response.

Tuesday...Remember that Mom needs a ride to the bank on Weds, which best friend usually does for us so my brother doesn't have to miss any work-time.

No response. Ok, that's weird, he always gets back to one of us when it's about my Mom or Dad, even if he can't do whatever is needed at the time. Text his GF, since he has no phone, ask her to tell him to get back to one of us. She says no problem, sure. This is on Tuesday evening.

Nothing. Not a peep since I saw him on Sunday. It's now Thursday. And we literally haven't gone more than 48 hours without emailing in months.

It's very strange. I'm not sure what to think, really.

1. I would be concerned now...
He is probably sick, or maybe a family emergency or whatnot, but I am a worry wart so I'd be trying to check on him. I hope he is okay. You never got back to me over that issue that you PM'd about so I am assuming all is okay? If you still need it, let me know. :hi:

2. The weirdest thing is
I texted the GF last night just saying "Um, is he ok? It's not like him to not get back to me or my brother like this. Let me know", and she never responded. That just made me worry even more. Ugh.

Oh, I'm so sorry! I meant to, and things just got away from me! D'oh! Thank you sweetie, it's fine now.

3. Maybe they eloped!
:P

Could just be something silly like that. Or maybe they said 'fuckit!' and drove up to Quebec.

4. Oh, definitely unlikely...
He's on the verge of breaking up with her, plus, he's in school 5 days a week. He wouldn't just up and go somewhere in the middle of the schoolweek, I know that much.

Sigh. I wish people behaved "normally". It would make my life easier.

5. I'd be concerned too
My guess is that your friend is probably fine.

I don't know, I'm a worrier too, so, I'd be a little nervous if I were experiencing this.

But despite the worries, I'd put money on it that everything is ok.

6. You used the "L" word. Could that be it?
Regardless of the spirit with which it's intended, it's scary!
