I got a job offer!!!!!!

I just got a call from the guy who interviewed me last week, and they're extending me an offer. They want me to start MONDAY--eek. The hours are long and it's a long-ass drive, so I need to think about it a bit. The pay isn't as high as I'd like, but it has great advancement potential both in terms of position and pay.

I'm pretty excited--and in shock. This is the first resume I've sent out in years... I've been an at-home mom for awhile. He said that they are hiring 4 people out of 350 resumes they got.

So, even though I haven't made my final decision... DRINKS ON ME!!!!

Congratulations! Even if you decide not to take it, being offered the job is a hell of a thing!

(though if you think the drive is long, etc., you can always take the job, and then once there, start looking for another one - that'll increase your odds of being hired, if you already have a job).

28. Well, you can give it a shot and if it doesn't work out and the worry is

too great you can always go back. Maybe if you got a cell phone (or a beeper if the company doesn't allow phone calls) the kids could get a hold of you. My friend (PassingFair, the one I was saying to pick the brain of the other day ;) ) did this and it helps...a little. Her kids still have a hard time and when she comes home she is "mama marsupial" with them clinging to her quite ferociously and fighting over her. I really and truly hope it all works out.
