1. Are you going to be ok?
We know how much you love your Twins.

3. I will!
Sad tonight. But hey, the Twins were not supposed to be this good this year.

5. I didn't think pitching like that was legal in the RL
Masterful job by both starters. Danks was just a little bit better.

(I wonder how many newspapers will run heds like "Danks for the support" tomorrow.) x(

6. The Twins always try to have pitching like that.
And usually succeed. The Twins' biggest issue is run support. Seriously, if we could have gotten Blackie some runs...

7. I dunno if the '27 Yankees coulda scored off Danks today
Dude was some kind of on. Didn't he have a six-pitch inning in the seventh or eighth?

8. Yep.
We had one chance. Unfortunately, the ball was not hit deep enough for Cuddyer to score. Talk about your Catch-22 situations, if Cuddyer had not run, there would have been carping about that, and I was so hoping for that chronic malcontent to drop the ball instead of making the tag.

I like Ken Griffey Jr. He just played for the wrong team this year.

13. I actually think Manny is better suited for the El Lay market
Although it is rather soon to tell.

14. He sure seems happy there
During the celebration last Thursday, he made a reference to "Mannywood." :D

Baahstun fans are more intense than Dodgers fans (John Tesh fans are more intense than Dodgers fans), so maybe they won't ride him so hard when he's bein' Manny.

17. Chicago's trains are elevated
:eyes:

Well, maybe some are underground but the one's I've been on are above-ground

And they're fucking cold when you're coming back from a bar at 3:00 AM, shivering on a platform with no protection from the wind.

20. We prefer to say 'Crosstown' or 'Red Line' series.
Edited on Wed Oct-01-08 03:03 PM by XNASA
Crosstown because one team is on the Southside, the other the Northside. And Red Line because the L line that runs past both ballparks is the Red Line. We rarely say subway. We just say "Da L".
