1. What is this rain you speak of?
We're under a severe drought.

2. It is a big surprise.
We usually do not get rain until January. We are under a water deficit ourselves. The rain we are getting today is barely measurable. But it was fun to get done with my appointment with my daughter's school principal and walk outside in the rain!

:woohoo:

5. Congrats on the rain.
Any rain we get I am sending it you way.

If we have any hard rain Houston will flood, the city is really slow about picking up all the storm trees.

The ditches are full of them.

6. I would gladly have the rain here.
It is way too dry here and I really am not looking forward to 'wildfire' season this fall.

8. I wishing you all the rain that we can't have.
Our hurricane season will be over with soon, and your fire season will be starting.

7. I'm all alone in my ancient office at the Mental Institution...
and by ancient I mean the door to said office is still the old "quiet room" door, and I swear to God, if there is a thunder storm I will freak! It was bad enough when I left my keys on my desk and locked myself out of my office AND the exit doors, but the thunder will just raise the creepy factor to an unacceptable level :scared:

Did I mention it's a state mental institution with a looooong and brutal history? Damn, where's a priest when you need one?

18. Let the Freeway Ice Capades begin!
The little "Sig Alert" widget on my desktop lights up like a Christmas Tree the instant a drop of rain hits the ground around here. Every driver seems to take it as a command to slam their car into the one in front.

19. LOL
I try not to be on the road much when it rains here. Not because I do not know how to drive in it (the rain is pedestrian compared to what I have driven in). I am worried about others not knowing how to drive in rain.
