How long a YouTube clip is too long?

What I hate most of all are OPs that are nothing but "Check this out" or "You gotta see this," followed by a blind YouTube link. I'm not even worried about RickRolls, because--having lived through the 80s--that stupid song is already burned indelibly into my brain.

But once I get to YouTube, I simply can't bring myself to watch any video that's over, say, 2:30. Unless it's a longer clip from a video or a show or movie, and I know this going in.

Be honest--have you ever watched a new-to-you clip on YouTube longer than three minutes? What made you do it? Was it worth it?

1. I think the limit for a YouTube video is 10 minutes

I've uploaded political speeches to YouTube. The longest one clocked in at nine minutes, I believe.
