It feels crazy DUing in the woods miles from anywhere in King Range wilderness. The Angelo Reserve is part of the University of California reserve system. Since it's an ecological research station there are some support facilities, including wireless internet over several chunks of the reserve. I'm here with my entomology class-- they're out working and I'm supposed to be doing some computer work on the laptop.
It's a gorgeous northern California morning in pristine old growth Douglas fir forest along the Eel River, many miles into the wilderness area. How cool is that?!
