1. Don't ya love the open displays of affection? I liked it. Made me feel like I was in Europe.

4. I do!
What I like even more is that the gay and mixed ethnicity couples are openly affectionate too, and nobody gives a rat's ass. It's just more people being happy to be together.

8. I liked riding on the subways because of the ethnicity. Montreal is such a mixed place..it is a city
for the future.

9. It's really wild that way
I take the metro and the bus every day, and on any given day I'll hear 5-6 languages that are neither French nor English. Sometimes it's something I can't even peg - although I'm getting better at identifying Greek. :)

5. I have not
but I don't work too far from The Main, so I'll try to check it out soon. Thanks for the tip!

3. How are you preparing for the winter?
I imagine it gets mighty cold there in the winter.

6. Heating is included in our rent
All we need to do is get a couple of parkas and some boots. The weather's been lovely this fall, and the leaves are just starting to turn. I've been going to work in short sleeves, and had to explain to shocked and giggling coworkers that 50 degrees when it's not humid is not cold.

Of course, my reference point for "humid" has been Houston, so it cracks everybody up.
