Edited on Fri Sep-26-08 10:41 PM by mycritters2
of standing and whining at the kitchen door is going to persuade me to give her another one. Would someone PLEASE explain this to her?!!! If I fed her every time she begged, TLC would produce a show about her:"The Fattest Beagle in the World". It would follow her adventures at a special nursing home for morbidly obese dogs, and be quite compelling. But still a bad idea.

1. The breed just loves to be overweight.
Ours is 6 years old and has a tendency to get pudgy in no time. She gains weight much quicker than she loses it. Much like me, come to think of it...

3. Yeah. Mine is mildly overweight and has bad teeth. Apparently she inherited these traits.
From me! :)

8. Watching other dogs interact with a beagle, it's apparent they recognize
the uniqueness of the breed. My sister's Jack Russells traditionally treated our beagle as a nutcase, and Jack Russells - being bred partially from beagles - are pretty weird themselves.

2. OMG... your beagle eats apples too?
I thought I had the only apple-eating one... mine is basically a vegan too... how about yours?

4. Mine is vegan, except for the occasonal June bug. Favorite treats: apples and tomatoes.
When she knows either of these are in the fridge, I get no peace at all! I actually sneak them into the house!

Scritchies to your beagle! :hi:

6. At least yours likes healthy treats.
Scooters favorite treat is a chili dog. I have a hard time telling her no. She gets this sad beagle look that gets me every time.

Hey my 1000th post was about my favorite subject. My beagle.

9. My dogs LOVE apples
especially green apples.

Every time a green apple falls off the neighbor's tree both of them RUN to get apples...

And yeah, they both get the shits afterward. :banghead:
