Poll question: Best 70's Canadian Rock Band
What choices and there are a ton of others I left out. Tough choice for me. Overall band I would have to pick the Guess Who but one of my favorite albums is Bustin Out and I'm still singing and playing Amie (fallin in and out of love) all the time.
I know there is going to be someone really big that I forgot.

2. "Simply Saucer"
One of the greatest bands of any age...they took the sounds of the Velvet Underground, the Stooges, and early (Syd era) Pink Floyd and mixed them into one of the greatest sounds ever...their "Cyborgs Revisited" compilation has been re-released recently...I HIGHLY recommend it if you're into great rock & roll...

Just standin' up there to give it all his might.
And he got caught in the spotlight,
But when we get to the end
He wants to start all over again, hmm hmm,

With their hands tied behind their backs.
No contest. I love the Band, and Dylan is a legend by any standards (excepting vocal chops, perhaps) but Rush kicks the shit out or Robbie and the boys.

Just my opinion, of course.

Saw them four times right here in Saginaw and they always put on a great show. Burton Cummings could sure pound that piano.

Andy the Right Wing Republican is a BIG Rush fan -- but I'll note that his musical taste is far superior to his political one. Damned near would have to be.

and "High Class in Borrowed Shoes" in our playlists a couple of years ago.

We love Max Webster, I heard they were Toronto's best band during their heyday.

Great lyrics and music.
