Ahhhhhhhhhhhh. Talk about my ultimate pet peeve, as an alumnus.

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS SOUTHERN CAL. The term is not accepted by the university and you will never see it in the LA media. The USC sports information department, in particular, makes an annual plea for writers and sportscasters to refrain from that ignorant atrocity.
