1. No. That's really silly.

It doesn't change anyone's mind. If anything, it drives them further away from the opponent and closer to their candidate. It turns them into victims. Stickers and signs don't vote.

3. If McPain wins I might trash a few yard signs out of involuntary reflex
(there are lots of them where I am), but disfiguring (with anything other than a marker, anyway) a bumper sticker means vandalizing a car. No way I'd do that.

6. I didn't realize that marking up a bumper sticker is car vandalization

It's still good to know what's legal and what isn't! :eyes:

7. It may vary state to state, I'm no legal expert, but
if I saw someone trashing my Canadiens bumper sticker that's exactly what I'd be pressing for when talking to the cops.

Overall, no, I wouldn't trash anything if in my right mind. If I wake up on Wednesday morning in November knowing that I'm facing four more years of McBush, however, some of those signs may well go down. No promises.

11. Hell, I was the unfortunate behind a pickup that had Bush/Cheney 2004
on it. It was all I could do not to :puke:

14. In 2004 I was doing laundry in
my apartment complex in Laurel, took someone else's clothes out of the washer to make room for mine, and saw a Bush/Cheney T-shirt in their pile. This was the weekend after Election Day.

I didn't do anything, but I can't tell you how tempted I was to lock the door behind me and piss all over that fucking shirt.

4. I agree absolutely-- yet THEY see nothing wrong with it. Just
goes to show how differently we think from them.
(I know not all of them do it, but it has been done and I sure hope none of the dems would because it's childish and unfair)

Drawing an X through McPain's cover photo on Time... well, that's another matter!!

5. No way. It's highly unethical. Plus I'm a chickenshit.
Plus I secretly want her.

9. No
when I was in Ohio, I lived in a conservative area. Many of us who had Kerry stickers on our cars or signs in our yards found them defaced, stolen or in the case of cars - bumpers smashed and windows broken.

I wouldn't lower myself to that level.

13. When the revolution begins I'll do a lot more than just trash yard signs.
But until then I will respect other peoples property.

17. No. In fact I miss my Republican neighbors.
I live on a busy street in a very Democratic area. My neighbors moved last year- but for 8 years we had matching competing signs. They were business owners who voted Republican so they always had signs for national and local races. I would wait until they put theirs up, and then I would go out and get the signs for their Dem opponents.

Their house has been on the market for over a year and they are gone, so I doubt they will be putting signs up.

19. Nope.
I don't think it's right that people steal and/or deface Obama signs and stickers; it would be no more right of us to do that to McCain signs and stickers.
