8 a.m. and my day's already been sabotaged by wind chimes.

I woke up at 3:30 to this strange, almost imperceptible, ominous tinkling sound. I sat up in bed trying to figure out if JackMN was up and running around the house. After some time, I realized it was windy outside and someone had some wind chimes which were periodically dinging. All night long, just as soon as I'd start to drift off, those friggin' wind chimes would tinkle and freak me out. I was thinking about how horrible I was going to feel if I couldn't get back to sleep. I was entertaining nasty thoughts about the neighbors and their stupid wind chimes. When I finally crawled out of bed this morning, drunk-tired and crabby, I looked outside and realized that I have wind chimes and it was my own obnoxious chimes that kept me up. Niiice.

It's going to be a long day.

3. My days have been sabotaged by a one armed maintenance guy

and his partner swinging hammers repairing the condo's porches. All month, every morning til 3 pm. Bang, drill, saw, bang, drill, saw. Mr Gray works the 11-7 shift so he is not thrilled.
