VelmaD inspired me to get active!

After she announced her nascent role as precinct chair in Austin yesterday, I called MY precinct chair and will attend our local meetings starting Tuesday, and will likely be an election judge in Pct 688 in NW Harris County.

I'd encourage everyone who can to dig in and contribute time and energy...it will make all the difference in November. Even in lost cause areas (like NW Harris County), local offices are at stake and are attainable if Dem turnout is high.

Velma, SoniaS and I also went to volunteer at the ACLU last night. I've signed up to help out on ANOTHER project of theirs too.
