5. Sisko, for two reasons:
1.) He was never a captain of the Enterprise, and

2.) The guy who played him is one of the worst actors I've seen in any of the Star Trek shows, which is saying a lot.

12. He would have been a massive improvement.
For example: "Don't bother me with this motherfucking 'Emissary' bullshit, I got enough to deal with as it is, motherfucker!"

That alone would have eliminated a truly boring storyline and could have turned the show into something worth watching.

she was easy on the eyes. All I had to do was hit 'mute' when she was talking.

Actually, I thought the one who played Dr. Pulaski was far, far worse than anyone on the show, even Wesley Crusher.

14. I had to give the nod to Jeffrey Hunter's Pike...
...though as far as I know, his truly awful acting did not actually kill hundreds of thousands or dismantle our economy.
