Holy shit! I was almost hit by a tree!
It was already windy when I went out for my daily walk, but it wasn't too bad. The breeze felt pretty good. But by the time I was already a good distance away from the dorms, it picked up. Branches started to fly around, and then CRACK! Not 20 ft from me this big tree fell. It crushed some poor person's car, and freaked the shit outta me. Apparently, Ike's giving us (Central OH) near hurricane force winds. I'm inside, but still freaked out :scared:

1. I heard there were strong winds south of here. There are a few
reports on the scanner of trees down in our county but we have been lucky and haven't gotten anything really strong yet.

I'm glad you're ok.

2. Must be weird for you inlanders.
Hope you still have power and you don't have any damage to your property by the time it passes.

6. I had one follow me all the way up to Vermont a few years back
fleeing from it from Orlando, FL. My brother and I decided to make a road trip out of it. Went to Virginia to visit an old high school friend of his, then up to VT to visit my sisters. Damn thing went straight up the coast after us. Thankfully it had died down to just a nasty set of clouds by the time it caught up with us, but still... :P

3. I'm sitting in a rest area
on I-80 near Amherst. The wind has been rocking my truck back on forth for a few hours now.
