I have been a Vikings fan since 1987.

Which means I rarely, if ever, need to actually watch the games. During my time as a Vikings fan I have:

mastered the salient points of astrology.

learned the guitar

became an amateur recorder and videographer

traveled much of the country

enrolled in college, dropped out, became a hippy, dropped out of THAT, got married and had a kid (not in that order!), re-enrolled in college

15. got a soft spot for the Vikings even though I'm a Bears fan

my brother Glenn who passed away in 2004 was a die-hard Vikings fan (he was born in England as a GI brat but adopted the team of our dad, a native Minnesotan whereas I'm a native Illinoisan and hence, Bears fan) One of the few things I have kept of Glenn's is his Vikings cap.
