Edited on Sun Sep-14-08 12:04 AM by liberaltrucker
DAYUM, they manhandled the Buckeyes! And UCLA losing BIG to BYU??

The SEC may be the best conference top-to-bottom, but the PAC 10
has the best TEAM. See y'all in Miami, USC fans.

:applause:

1. They're good....
but OSU just sucks. The Big Ten is consistently overrated. I'm actually disappointed in USC's performance. I had them pegged to win by 35. haha

I hope someone can, anyway.

6. LA is getting an NFL franchise in 2011.
That's approximately how long it will take to build the stadium. Now luring a team out here, that is a completely different story altogether.

And that UCLA - BYU game. Ouch. :yoiks:

13. The land has been purchased... and that's about it.
As for a team they're trying to lure one of the small market teams out here. Jacksonville, Tennessee, Carolina, and San Diego were on the short list.

27. The land purchased is at the CA-57 / CA-60 interchange in Industry.
The big rumor is that it's where the new football stadium is going. The Collisseum owners dont want to renovate because that would cost hundreds of millions and they dont want to build next to Anaheim stadium otherwise they would have to build expensive parking structures.

Zero. Broncos? 5. Lost 3, won 2. I rest my case. Sheesh, I thought Auburn-Alabama was a rivalry?

I didnt hear anything about the Bucs - the one I have heard about repeatedly was the Chargers because they want a new stadium and San Diego doesn't have the room to build one.

43. Funk dat shit.
The Pac 10, It's like the solar system.

The Trojans are the sun, and everybody else is the planets.

In the Coug's case, Pluto. Not even a planet.

Problem is, there's no Jupiter either.

The quarterback knee-grinding Ducks will fade, so don't even think it. (some wag referred to them as the U-ACL Ducks.

I may point out that the toejams haven't won in the state of Oregon for the past two years.

Go Beavs!

41. as much bashing of the South that happens on DU
you have to give it up, we own college football. USC is legitimate don't get me wrong but outside of them, no team in no conference can compare to what it's like to play in the SEC. 5 of the top 10 programs in the country are SEC schools. And quite honestly, if USC had to play a SEC conference I still believe they would be good but not great. If you have to run into Florida, Tennessee, LSU, Georgia, Auburn, Alabama, etc on a regular basis it makes it tough. We have some soft teams too Vanderbilt, Ole Miss, MS State, Kentucky, but our middle of the road schools Arkansas and S Carolina are better than most conferences top teams.
