I finally discovered something Sarah Palin is good for!
Weight-loss.

I was at the gym yesterday, doing a light workout on the treadmill and flipping between the various news networks. I eventually settled on CNN, which was showing Joe Biden at a town hall somewhere I forget.

I settled in, enjoying the broadcast and what Joe was saying, when all of a sudden CNN shifts over to a McCain-Palin event. Rolling my eyes, I switched to MSNBC... only to find they were showing the exact same thing.

Switching back to CNN< on the faint hope they'd go back to Biden, I increased the speed of the treadmill and watched, teeth grit, fists clenched and feet pounding against the belt. Palin started going into the standard dose of lies and attacks, and I started getting angry. The speed went from 4 to 5.

She brought up the Bridge to Nowhere; I increased the speed to 6.

"Some politicians use change to promote their career. Others, like John McCain, use their career to promote change." I was ready to smash the monitor, but instead I upped the speed to 7, which I've never been able to maintain for more than a minute. A few minutes later, I went up to 7.5.

A full ten minutes sped by, fueled only by pure rage and I was still going strong. I have never been able to run flat-out for that long at any speed.

Since Palin was added to the McNugget ticket, I've lost six pounds through a combination of being too nauseated by her drivel to eat and intense rage-powered exercise.

If this trend continues, I should be at my goal weight by election day.

1. I love it...
and the Lounge is pretty much the right place for this. Though...it never hurts to include a non-sequitur photo to a post...especially of a kitten.

Now if they'd design a tv for underwater usage that I could mount in an infinity pool (kind of like a treadmill for swimmers...jets of water keep you in the same place as you swim against the current.) I might be able to regain some lost glory from HS and get down to a 32" waist again. (6" down, 8"-10" to go.)

2. My gym doesn't have an infinity pool
The one on the west side does, but I can't get over there easily.

I need more amusing kitten pictures...
