Confession Time
Edited on Tue Sep-09-08 12:38 PM by Liberalynn
I got so down about the polls last night, and what happen to Olberman, and continuing frustration over my local Air America station being switched to sports talk, that I ate a half a pint of Pistachio ice cream by myself last night.

It made me feel better for about ten minutes. Then I just felt sick to my tummy, and the depression came back along with the shame for being such a piggy. :(

The polls better turn back in Obama's favor soon before I turn my self into a huge blimp due to nerves.

I need to just keep repeating to myself Susan B. Anthony's trademark phrase:

"Failure is Impossible"!

I did do something positive though. I sent in a donation to Obama.

1. This is McCain's post-convention bounce, improved by his left-field (or maybe deep right-field)
pick of Palin for VP. Caribou Barbie's current popularity has no where to go but down, the debates are coming up, and Obama still owns the Electoral College. I'm willing to bet that the election fraud prevention legal teams Obama will be putting in the swing states will be world-beaters.

The more fence-sitters and independents know about Palin, the less wise a choice she is going to seem. There are very few red-blooded conservative males in this country who I can imagine wanting her a heartbeat away from the Presidency.

McCain has lost the moderate Catholics, the Jewish vote, and the black Republicans are having serious doubts. Let's stay optimistic...

 I am going to try to stay positive. I am also going to see if I can put some of the nervous energy to work by volunteering with the local Democractic committee.

3. McCain's bounce I think is similar to a stock market bounce: a dead cat bounce.
Or so I'd like to think.

4. I'm hoping the same thing.
Crossing my fingers that it doesn't last long.
