Right now I'm at 45 min. 08 sec. into the movie and still no action.

But the dialogs are really great!

I watched Planet Terror last month and had a lot of fun.

A real roller-coaster ride.Non-stop action and plenty of Zombies.

The crappy look and editing errors are a great idea.

Witch one do you prefer?

1. I liked them both a lot, but LOVED Planet Terror.
Death Proof is still pretty good though.

Pam: So how exactly does one become a stuntman?
Stuntman Mike: Well, in Hollywood, anyone fool enough to throw themselves down a flight of stairs can usually find someone to pay them for it. But really, I got into the business the way most people get into the stunt business.
Pam: How's that?
Stuntman Mike: My brother got me in it.
Pam: Who's your brother?
Stuntman Mike: Stuntman Bob.

An early TV movie of the week, he played that sniper in Texas that killed all those people at a university. Let me IMDB it real quick..... The Deadly Tower - 1975

I'd be pissed if I'd paid $10 to see just that.
Yes, it's good dialog. It's watchably boring. I go to Tarantino movies for violence, dialog is just icing.
But who wants to eat 45 minutes of icing?

4. "watchably boring"
Yeah,I thought that when I started to watch and kept saying to myself:"Ok,ok so when does the

action begins?" But now I'm about half way through the movie and I find it entertaining.

And a bit creepy.

12. No,no,no you didn't gave anything away ...
And I appreciate it.

"her sister in law just gave us a big pile of DVDs" What's the story ?

I mean why did she gave away tons of DVDs ? It sounds like my sister. She buys tons of useless junk

on impulse.DVDs,electronic gizmos, perfume and "essential" oils, books and the list goes on and on.

Then about every 6 months she have a garage sale to get rid of all the stuff she accumulated.

My younger sister is more wise but she's a big time consumer too but I would say that she's

well balanced.A really smart lady she is.(And I still see her as my baby sister despite the fact

that she's 33. :)

13. well.. truth be told....
they're copies (not exactly legal ones..) that they had made last year when her and her husband went through a little separation.. now, they're back together (and doing great), so they had 2 copies of almost every dvd they owned, so we got the pick of the litter, so to speak..

15. OMG that's so cool!
I mean the story about the fact that they had to duplicate the DVDs.

"copies (not exactly legal ones..)" Oh noes!1!!

They are evil librul copyright terrorists!1!! :)

Gee,if we follow the RIAA and the MPAA "logic",we are all criminals.

Greedy bastards!

But what I really find so interesting is that they split, came back

together and ended up with 2 sets of the same DVDs.Lol!

9. WTF the Sheriff is saying ?
I mean usually I have no problem understanding English even with a southern or British accent

but the guy talk as if he had a hot potato in his mouth and I'm lucky when I get

50% of what he's saying.

(I'm French-Canadian and learned American English while growing up so usually I

have no problem understanding but that character ? Eek!)

fake bad editing and scratches but with a big

budget.I loved it.:)

#1 - Even though it's unpopular around here I LOVE Quentin and Robert flicks.
#2 - I'm a horror movie nut. Bad horror movies = all the better.
#3 - for being a non-violent pacifist type person I LOVE violent and gory movies.

:D

29. Well - Quentin mainly.
But I've never been one to follow the crowd! ;) Actually, when Pulp Fiction first came out and everyone was going CRAZY for it I didn't want to see it. It wasn't until 4 years later (and after everyone else forgot about it or didn't care anymore) that I finally watched it - and some of his other movies.

21. Death Proof fer sure...
Planet Terror was just another zombie flick if not for Rose McGowan's "leg," but as hard as Death Proof tried to be a brainless snuff flick, they couldn't keep kharma out.

I almost want a sequel to answer some questions--

What's the backstory to Stuntman Mike?

Did that last stomp kill him in the end, and did his demise get back to the sheriff?

Did whatshername left back at the farmhouse really have to blow the guy? Did they all have to blow the guy when they couldn't pay for the wrecked car?

Inquiring minds want to know...

22. I preferred Planet Terror. Death Proof was okay but it seemed like he was trying too hard to relive
Pulp Fiction with the dialogue. When the action kicks in though, it kicks the fuck in.

Death Proof was pretty crappy, IMO, for a Tarantino movie. Looong, boring stretches, especially in the beginning.
Just my two cents.
