6. It depends
Does their skin color match the skin color of the presidential or PM residence?

8. Hey, I learned it from real Americans
This is a very important "American value." It must be preserved at all cost.

10. I come from a country that doesn't give me equal rights
Edited on Wed Feb-25-04 10:38 PM by _Jumper_
I was born overseas because my mother was visting a foreign country. I'll check my PM now. I usually only check them when I move between forums.

13. Why don't you check with the State Department?
Edited on Wed Feb-25-04 11:48 PM by Art_from_Ark
My son is in exactly the same position as you, and they told me that he was still eligible to run for President.

If for some reason the State Department tells you are inelgible, then that would mean my son would also be ineligible. If that's the case, I will spend the rest of the day at home sulking because my son would be losing his 1:300,000,000 chance of becoming President.

11. I have heard that the French allow anyone
who had been born in a French colony, past or present, can run for any office in France or in any of their present colonies. This from a conversation I had with someone a couple years back who claimed Clinton could run for President of France and would probably win if he wanted a third presidential term - as could any other person born in one of the Louisiana Purchase states...

So, is this true? I know there are some truely weird laws in France.
