Should foreign-born people be allowed to run for Vice President?
It can be the "separate but equal" version of civil unions in this area...

9. I mean arnold's campaign would be bad for democracy
democracy should be as much as possible removed from popularity contests. Actors and politics have been shown to mix, but i dont think it's a good thing

Cults of Personality blow, ideas are the key

Why would you say you don't want a foriegn person running. BEcause they aren't American? Aren't in the "Born in the USA club"?

What if a foriegner has a good idea?

23. The Constitution, Jeremy
It is the law and has been from the beginning. Only a Native born citizen can be President. We have enough talk about amending the Constitution without adding something else to the mix. It is extremely difficult to get 2/3 of the Senate, 2/3 of the House then 2/3 of the states to ratify. Check out the ERA. Still not ratified by the states.

29. Let's revive slavery then
The sad fact is that America is probably the only Western country that doesn't grant equal rights. Canada? Those lunatics do! Canada will be a Balkanized, Third World country in 2,050 minutes because of this.

American values aren't something I'm pulling outta my ass here..

Alot of immigrants are just not "american" we have to accept that.

My parents are from Korea, they know how to handle money, and english. Apart from that thay are "korean" in every sense.

Not to mention they are extremely racist, and religious fundie nuts. I swear mom is gonna put up a picture of Bush soon because of this amendment thing.

He wants to peddle his "obey the rule of law" crap instead of talking about the spirit of the law. Let him bathe in his own kettle of cack for once. He wants to run for prez. He can't. Law says so. F* him. Does the rule of law become something to eliminate the instant it becomes an inconvenience? Repukes think so.

52. Abolutely not
There are still too many countries and too many people in the world who wish this nation ill. While the odds that a foreign agent could make it into the Presidency are extremely small, this is one area where the only acceptable risk is ZERO.

54. Yup
The difference, of course, is that a well trained and financed foreign agent would have a better chance of getting into the position than our homegrown wacko's.

Besides, what's the point in expanding the pool if it isn't absolutely neccesary? The day a qualified, foreign born applicant steps forward and says "I want to be president", we can revisit the issue. For now it's simply a distraction "Watch Ahnuld, not Bush".
