"I've never been shit on by a bird, but I always close my mouth when I look up."
Edited on Sat Sep-06-08 10:01 PM by RadiationTherapy
I made that phrase up because the event that inspired the act of "closing my mouth when I look up" didn't flow as easily.

When we first moved into our new home (2 story modular built in SoCal to NorAZ) we were finding scorpions. One night, I felt a little creepy on my shoulder, but nothing was there. I glanced nervously around the room and there directly above me on the ceiling was a scorpion. My mouth was wide open. I snapped my jaw shut and proceeded with scorpion removal protocol #23. Later I drafted the phrase in the subject line.

Scorpions on the wall look like christ on a cross; unsettling.

5. That's too funny!
I was just going to posit how I am a mouth breather, and there you were!! I actually had a scorpion as a pet years ago. It wasn't very cuddly, though.

6. I didn't know Nebraska had scorpions!
I am wondering whether Nebraska is a good place to visit or avoid now.
