2. Hmm. Without the first drive, the gints didn't really do to much.

15. Giants are never pretty, they just win championships
they have their first victory, and a division win at that, so I am happy.

16. What happened in the second half?
They seemed emotionally sky high in the first half, then seemed to lose the drive as the game went on.

17. Well believe it or not.
I'm going to give credit to the Skins D playing better. After the first few drives in the first half..they actually started, you know..tackling...

18. I was concerned the deadskins "D" would be worn out by the second half.
I figured the giants would just pound the ball at them in the second half. guess not.

19. Giants were up by 9 and they knew unless the Skins got
a break with good field position, they would win the game. So the Giants played it very close to the vest.

3. Was the end result bad?
I was talking with some DC folks this evening and they said the score was 36-zip Giants. And I couldn't bring myself to see the game after that. Say it isn't so...

4. bad coaching by Zorn
final was 16-7 Giants win. what made absolutely no sense was Washington down 9 so have to score twice, under 3 minutes on the clock, full timeouts, and HE'S CALLING RUNS. Portis on a dive, etc. 3 minutes, full timouts, you have to score twice, you don't run the freaking ball.

5. C'mon, the 'Skins converted an entire first down in only thirteen tries.

I'm hoping this year is a complete disaster for the team. I admit I have no favorite NFL team and follow the league only to remain competitive for fantasy purposes, but it's a lot more fun to hear the locals whine than hear then predict a title after a preseason win.

Snyder, of course, remains a joke as an owner. I know it won't happen, but I'd love to see 0-16. I'll settle for 0-6 in the division.

8. It seems that he was afraid to let his QB do anything.
A QB at some point has to have the opportunity to win the game, Zorn did not give it to his. Was a crappy game overall.

9. They looked ill-prepared, and their plays weren't fooling anyone. But
it was his first game and the team he inherited isn't exactly Super Bowl material, unlike the team he played. Maybe he'll get better. They even got better during that game.

I can't figure Cambell out. At times I think he's got it, at others I can't tell whether he's screwing up or whether he's just got nothing to work with.

11. Not true. He played well last year.
When he was healthy and WHEN he had a descent offensive scheme.
Remember Jim Zorn was like the 7th choice for head coach. Smart people don't want to work for Snyder.
I was wondering when MiM would show up to comment...

14. The wife and daughter got home after the first half, so we changed to
the National Geographic channel. Sounds like I missed nothing in the second half!!

21. Yeah.
Whatever you think of him now, I would take Charley Casserly in a HEARTBEAT over Cerrato. I don't think the Skins will be real contenders till he's gone. Unfortunately he's Snyders boy...x(
