Kitty question
Morrison is 15 years old and is half bobcat. A couple of days ago,out of nowhere he started to sit by my foot on the computer and just started howling.I did everything I could, fed him, watered him, gave him treats but he just won't stop crying. He doesn't appear ill or hurt, this looks like a mental health issue. Has anyone else gone through this before? He was the silent out of the group, now he is the loudest!

1. Is he bored do you think?
Cats can develop odd behaviors if they get bored..excessive grooming etc..
I had a cat at 15 who would start yowling in another room..cause he forgot I was there I think..but since your cat is right there, I'm not really sure...

3. I agree with Dogtown.
Cats rarely look sick, even though they are, so please take Morrison to the vet.

4. get thee to the vet, ASAP....
Edited on Thu Sep-04-08 12:56 PM by mike_c
ANY dramatic change in behavior often indicates health issues in cats. Most cats are excellent at hiding symptoms of illness, so when you see something as dramatic as you're describing, it often indicates something that needs attention fast. Don't hesitate-- take Morrison to the vet TODAY!

Please let us know how he's doing!

5. I'd take him to the vet
He might be sick. My 13 year old Lizzie never acted sick, but when I took her to the vet for her shots, it turned out she had cancer & it had already spread, so I had to put her to sleep.
