I am running out of reasons to hope right now.
Yes, I am depressed.

I am worried about everyone on the Gulf Coast.

I am worried about the police raids in the Twin Cities. The barrage of Rethugs on MY state (Minnesota is my home...although I reside in CA) is sullying my beautiful Minnesota.

I am worried about the death grip that the fundies and evangelicals have on our government.

I hate feeling this way.

2. Now don't you do that.
I've got enough on my plate - I don't need to be worrying about you worrying about me.

You just have to hold on to hope and believe things will work out - wherever G goes it's going to go. We need positive energies and hope and faith and prayers and white light (I wish I had some white lightening about now too.)

You are tired and your heart so big, being down about all of this is understandable. Go ahead and let it out. I may need you next week so you take this weekend, mkay.

:loveya:

5. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried.
I've walked into each room of my house and just looked around and said to myself "I don't want to go." Hell, I just got here, I was just beginning to feel normal again.

Just keep those good energies coming this way (more to Louisiana, they look like they will take the worst of it) and say some prayers, chants some chants, emit some vibes.

thanks for the concern and prayers  :loveya:

12. Well, I am definitely sending out prayers to all in the path of Gustav.
I just can't help but think of what a nightmare it was for you after Katrina and Rita, I guess because you are my friend.

I hope the need won't be there, though.

7. I have the candle lit - it will remain lit for the next while or so.
I will be here for you.

I will be here when we get the White House back this November.

I am just feeling a bit weary.

I know you are always there and I am so very grateful and blessed that you are.

Go watch Obama's speech, go read this thread and be inspired and realize the energies are changing, things are on the upswing, we are the change we have been looking for.

6. Please remember
"When I despair, I remember that all through history the ways of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants, and murderers, and for a time they can seem invincible, but in the end they always fall. Think of it - Always." ~Gandhi~

11. I'm sorry, KW. All I can do is offer a hug.

I have close family in the Twin Cities area. They are spending next week out of town, for fear of protecting their children. That is pretty fucking sad, to think a freeper presence might cause a riot or danger to them or their children.

I also have family on the Gulf Coast, and they are strategically vacationing with my uncle on the East Coast. I just hope they have a home to go back to.

13. I have to keep believing that everything will be okay.
My son is in the Twins...17 years old...and a peacenik. Question Authority and all that. I am really not liking what I am reading about police raids without warrants, etc.

It is going to be okay, it is going to be okay, it is going to be okay.

we have limited powers. ;)

We can't solve all the world's problems.

Just our own, if we're lucky.

26. Question..
Do you ever go to Pelican Point, and walk at sunset, like I suggested? Long walks on the beach helped me immensely in times of trouble. I miss it, can you tell?

Hang in there & turn off the news for a little while! ;-)
