2. He was downright chatty there.

He usually doesn't even say that much. Guy is a few sammiches short of a picnic.

3. That's no more or less interesting than any sports interview I've heard in the past year.

What true answer to that question could possibly be of interest to the listener? It's no different than "How does it feel?", "How special was it?" or "Tell us about the emotion."

NOTHING is more boring than a sports interview, and I'm a big fan of sports. I just don't bother with interviews anymore. Manny, who I otherwise think is a horse's ass, gave that question all the attention it deserved. Maybe if more athletes displayed such a properly dismissive attitude towards stupid questions, the stupid questions would finally go away.

..."we really gave 110% tonight...I just tried to stay within myself and play my game...I just took it one at bat at a time...we're not looking ahead"....etc...?
