Name something that's more stressful than a house closing
Edited on Wed Aug-27-08 11:22 AM by LostinVA
I think it's even worse than a wedding, and I've been through two of the former and one of the latter. Dear God, it's enough to make me start smoking again.

on edit: something positive, because death and sickness are terrible things.

2. Yes indeed...
To me, it is not the MOST stressful thing, but it is right up there.

Probably to me, health issues are more stressful, but in the normal course of life, house closings SUCK.

Hang in there.

I refused to tell anyone that we were "buying a house" until the papers were signed. I just said we were "*trying* to buy a house."
My husband had a stroke three days before our closing; he came *thisclose* to having to sign papers in the hospital.
It all worked out, though. Hang in there!

13. I got two: an IRS audit and moving.
Moving is very stressful for me because I am the world's worst packrat. Also a terrible procrastinator and I am very disorganized. So moving confronts me with the results of all these character flaws.

17. Moving sucks -- this will be the THIRD time I've moved in about 13 months
From VA to NJ, and then in NJ from where we stayed for a few weeks to our rental. Now, to a house. ARRRGGHHH.

You need some kind of medal for that. Three times in 13 months should be listed as a form of torture in the Geneva Convention.

When Haruka answered,"Unless it's to a bigger house," I responded with,"We can add on. There's plenty of land."

Seriously.

Because I didn't know if my bid would be accepted and I wasn't sure of the financing quite yet then...In my case the closing was pretty smooth cause eveything was worked out...
