DAMN!!! I sent a beautiful, poetic e*note to a old friend of mine...
Edited on Tue Aug-26-08 03:11 PM by chromotone
Beautifully crafted. From the heart. Pure poetry. And then I noticed I had spelled a word incorrectly! :grr:

Well, it really wasn't a misspelling, but just the wrong word. Well, more precisely: "Thank you for your gracious comments" became "Thank you for you gracious comments."

"...you gracious comments?"

DAMN!!! I proofed this note and didn't see it at all until after I sent it. And then it was a couple of days after.

The word now stands out like a sore thumb and detracts from the overall impact of this beautifully crafted, poetic e*note from the heart.

Has this ever happened to you?

2. You know, I wondered the same thing...
The phrase, "...you gracious comments" could be seen as "...you gracious comments." She might actually "see" an "R" where one was supposed to be.

Thanks for lifting my spirits! :D

3. My dear chromotone...
Oh, hell yes, I've done that too...

People don't usually see those errors...

As the other poster said, they normally fill in the correct letters unconsciously...

Especially if they're caught up in the emotion of the note...

Not to worry, sweetie!
