4. More irritated than frightened.

Most ringers on new phones hurt my ears. I find them extremely irritating. Seriously, what is with phone manufacturers and insisting on having ringers that are at the perfect pitch and volume to cause pain, or at least annoy? And what was so wrong with the old ones?
