I was absolutely NOT trying to be clever with my post the other night in an attempt to get another DUer to buy me a star by making a contribution to DU.

But someone did that anyway, and I appreciate it. I have my suspicions as to who the perpetrator is, but I also wouldn't be surprised if it was someone I don't even know well. DU is like that, isn't it? What a great group of people.

But, dammit, I'm going to contribute to DU anyway. In the next day or two, when I can walk better. (I had to put all of my limited mobility into working today, because I have a VERY important business meeting on Tuesday, and I have to have the materials ready.)

This election is a make-or-break moment for my beloved America - and my (no, OUR) country NEEDS an Obama win. And I believe that contributing to DU will help make that happen.

Hey, whoever gave me the star, thank you. But remember that "no good deed goes unpunished," OK? There's a free lunch or dinner in your future, and you can't escape that fate.
