My best analysis gets ignored in GD
All the time. I'll be totally on my game and everything and maybe get one or two replies, no recs either, and the replies are of the kind that you know they only read the first few lines.

Yet, when I write something totally stupid and goofy, I'll get like a hundred replies and even end up on the greatest page. Go figure. :)

2. Yeah no kidding
It took me awhile to crack the DUzys, then once I did I went nuts. I had 9 or 10 DUzys one week. I'll have my staff get back to you on that one. :)

Even with all the accolades though, I can't help but feel that my earlier unnoticed work was edgier. :)

6. I have all kinds of weird dreams I write about
lol. I'm thinking about using it as a concept for a book of short stories one of these days. I have to finish my first one, then maybe I'll go that route with the dreams.

7. Some people have short attention spans
Anything over a few lines and they hit the back button. BTW I read your journal entry "McCain POW..." piece and I recommended it. I wrote an entry on Bush's failures in Iraq, it was a little wordy.

9. that happens to me at work
I perform what are essentially miracles quite frequently but when I get any kind of recognition it's always for something very lame. WTF!!!

10. yeah but you live in Texas
Anything you do remotely good at work has to be over their heads. I mean seriously, they elected W. and Rick Perry back to back to back.

11. Sorry that I missed your post.
If I would have read it (and all of it mind you) I would have replied with a reply that would do justice to your piece!

How's that? ;)

Sometimes peoples brains are just on hold. Don't take it personally.

13. Sadly that's the way of DU. If you are not funny or controversial
you tend to be over looked.
