How many zillion times have you seen Jaws
After a meal of seafood the other night, on the way home we started with all the classic quotes, bigger boat, fathers met their mothers, Amity you know means friendship...so we popped the tape in when we got home.

In all the dozens and dozens of times I've seen this movie, for the first I noticed something in the opening scene I never picked up before. Right before Chrissie takes off for her final skinny dip, you can hear a woman on the beach say, very clearly, "Yes, he's an amputee."

How did I miss that all this years???? I wonder if that was scripted, or adlibbed by an extra.

3. If you were going to remake the movie
what three modern day actors would you use?

6. Actors that are relatively unknown
That was part of the accidental genius of that film.

11. I wouldn't want to even think about that movie being remade
Except, well, the effects would probably be a lot better. maybe if it could be enhanced the way Lucas juiced up Star Wars. But I can't imagine anyone else as Quint Brody and Hoopah.

22. Admittedly it's a very high bar, but I am thinking there would be actors
who could handle it

25. Unfortunately, one who could have ain't here anymore
Finally saw Dark Knight this week and cried at the end, thinking how we'd never get to see Ledger play the Joker again, or any role for that matter. He could have played any three of those roles.

27. Did you know that Mrs. Kintner was also in Jaws 4
I checked her IMBD and it looks like the only other movie she was in was Jaws 4 the Revenge, which unfortunately, I've seen.

24. More than any other movie ever made.
In all seriousness I've seen it 50 - 60 times. One of the best movies ever made. It was just on TV last week and I watched it again, and I hardly ever will sit through a movie on commercial tv and put up with all the ads.

31. Well, at least you watch two other good ones.
I think Fletch is the only other movie I've seen more than a couple dozen times.

Well, not counting all my Godzilla flicks. I've seen those so many times I've had to replace the tapes with DVDs. Wore them right out. I'm such a geek. :)

30. A few years back my friend made a replica of the Orca
And we dressed up like Brodie, Hoopah and Quint and marched in the Greenwich Village Halloween parade. it's really scary how much I could look like Richard Dreyfus with a fake beard.

33. I knew people who were in it.
Speilburg was shooting it out on Martha's Vineyard when I was in college in Rhode Island. Many locals were extras.

I think I've seen it a total of three times.
