I want to buy an album on iTunes. Any suggestions?
The only genre I usually shy away from is country but if it's good, I'm open. So, what's the best album you could recommend? I need something new, badly. And thanks.

17. Love it. I already have some of this. The benefit of
having an older stepson. :) Thanks!

2. Miles Davis - "Kind of Blue."
I don't know if you like jazz, or if you already have it, but that is one album everybody must hear.

Dunno about iTunes availability; I don't use iTunes. But it is available for download at Amazon (with sample clips).

20. It's also at iTunes. I liked it.
It's got that real country folksy thing going on. I think I'll download some for my dad, actually, because he will adore it. Thanks!

5. Suggestion
You download it :D It's cheaper and it cuts out the record companies. Just go to a concert and support the artist there.

But really, it matters what kind of music you're looking for. I'm really enjoying the new Coldplay album, but Bruce Springsteen's Magic is really awesome, and Crash is my favorite Dave Matthews Band album.

22. I know it's crazy but DMB does nothing for me. Coldplay, however,
is a fave of mine. I am off to give that Springsteen a listen. Thanks! :)

Oh and I really am one of those wide open listeners who has a little bit of everything in her collection. I tend toward electronica mainly but don't hate pop or rock or rap or classical or anything, really. Even opera. Country is touchy for me because I like older stuff but not the newer stuff so much, but I love Suzy Bogguss and have lots of Dwight Yoakam. Weird, I know, but it works for me. ;) Thanks again.

7. You don't buy music on iTunes®.
You only buy the right to load it on & listen to it from an approved Apple® device.

and even re-rip it into a different format if you want to.

12. If the DRM allows you to.
Sure, you can physically *DO* it - but if it violates the DRM which you already agreed to via Apple the RIAA can sue you for many thousands of dollars. And Apple can conveniently give them all the info they need to find you.

I have a really strange They Might Be Giants meets Johnny Cash thing going on as I listened to these clips. I'm going to have to snatch this one just so I can hear the lyrics :) I loved it! Thanks!

33. Delighted to help.
The creative force behind the Silver Jews, David Berman, is actually renowned for his poetry as well.

If you really like "Lookout Mountain..." then you should check out "American Water" which is widely regarded to be their best work.

13. Oh, buy the Silver Apples album....

You get 18 songs/numbers for $9.99.

Read the reviews and listen to the clippies to see if this might be your thing.

32. A couple of recent favorites:
Gomez "How We Operate"

Rilo Kiley "Under the Blacklight"

Also, if you like blues-y stuff, check out Ray LaMontagne "Trouble"

36. You're expensive.
Gomez. Loved it. If the music and vocals weren't enough, the lyrics would have put it over the top anyway. Yeah, so I own that one. :)

Rilo Kiley. Damned if I didn't love that one too. Cha-ching.

Ray LaMontagne. Wow shades of Jeff Buckley. Cha. Ching.

And I love them all. Thanks! :)
