The Devil in the movies
I don't know about everyone else, but I love it when they portray him having a sense of humor like in "End of Days" and the TV mini-series of Stephen King's "The Stand"

2. I've got to see that one
Every time I set the timer to watch it I forget about it. Too cheap to get a new TV stand that will fit a DVR on it and the remote to set my VCR is busted. Also, too cheap for a new VCR when that came money can go for a box of great cigars instead.

6. Al Pacino was a great devil
Edited on Sat Aug-23-08 06:45 PM by pokerfan
when asked if it was better to rule in Hell than serve in Heaven, his character's response: "Why not? I'm here on the ground with my nose in it since the whole thing began. I've nurtured every sensation man's been inspired to have. I cared about what he wanted and I never judged him. Why? Because I never rejected him. In spite of all his imperfections, I'm a fan of man! I'm a humanist. Maybe the last humanist."

"Let me give you a little inside information about God. God likes to watch. He's a prankster. Think about it. He gives man instincts. He gives you this extraordinary gift, and then what does He do, I swear for His own amusement, his own private, cosmic gag reel, He sets the rules in opposition. It's the goof of all time. Look but don't touch. Touch, but don't taste. Taste, don't swallow. Ahaha. And while you're jumpin' from one foot to the next, what is he doing? He's laughin' His sick, fuckin' ass off! He's a tight-ass! He's a SADIST! He's an absentee landlord! Worship that? NEVER!"

9. Elizabeth Hurley in "Bedazzled."
OK, I know it was a risible remake of a pretty good Peter Cook movie, and neither Ms. Hurley nor Mr. Fraser can act their ways out of very moist paper bags, but the prospect of having Satan look like Elizabeth Hurley certainly makes eternal damnation seem a lot more palatable.

:scared:

Harry Angel: "Louis Cyphere"...”Lucifer". Even your NAME is a dime store joke.
Louis Cyphere: "Mephistopheles" is SUCH a mouthful in Manhattan.

14. Peter Stormare in Constantine.
Edited on Sat Aug-23-08 08:17 PM by LostInAnomie
Although its a brief part he embodies everything you would expect a modern day Satan to be. Plus, wearing a blindingly white suit is a great juxtapose for the Lord of Hell.
