I mean REAL punk rock.. the kind that has to do with what you think, not what you wear. I was always a huge punker, but never wore the uniform. And to this day when I hear some of the old tunes they still ring true to me, dammit!

3. Although I agree with Henry Rollins and Jello Biafra a lot...
I still see myself more in identification with the 40's Era Lefties...

4. Even Johnny Rotten wears nice suits these days
and even admits he's a fan of Deep Purple and Journey.

Being punk has always been more about what's between your ears than what you wear in them.

I've always dug the music, but never wore the uniform, either, so I'm with you there, bro. :toast:

5. Till the day I die
And here's one that I know Canadian punks will appreciate. Don't know how far south or east their fame was, but all the punks in the Pacific Northwest loved 'em.....

6. Well I'm a punk rocker yes I am.
See me drivin down the street,
I'm bored with looking good.
I got both hands off the wheel,
The cops are coming.
I'm listening to the music with no fear,
You can hear it too if your sincere...

Coz I'm a punk rocker yes I am.
Well I'm a punk rocker yes I am.
Coz I'm a punk rocker yes I am.
Well I'm a punk rocker yes I am.

I see you stagger in the street,
And you can't stay on your feet.
And your faking in your sleep,
You wish that you were deep.
You can't hear me laughing to myself,
If you could you would be someone else.

Coz I'm a punk rocker yes I am.
Well I'm a punk rocker yes I am.
Coz I'm a punk rocker yes I am.
Well I'm a punk rocker yes I am.

See me die on bleaker street,
I'm bored with being god,
See me sneering in my car,
I'm driving to my star.

I'm listening to the music with no fear,
You can hear it too if your sincere...

Coz I'm a punk rocker yes I am.
Well I'm a punk rocker yes I am.
Coz I'm a punk rocker yes I am.
Well I'm a punk rocker yes I am.

Coz I'm a punk rocker yes I am.
Well I'm a punk rocker yes I am.

7. I'm listening to Oingo Boingo - Only a Lad
On my record player (yes, one of those old things). After this, it's the 4 Skins (Oi!) followed by Elvis Costello. After all that, I'll probably play a metric shit ton of Reggae and 60s Ska and Motown for the rest of the night.

I don't know what that means, but that's what I'm listening and I could give a shit less what it means to anyone else. :)

8. Yep, punk all the way
hair metal is pretentious and precious. "Pop" is too over produced with nothing meaningful to say.

Patti Smith rules!
