2. Remember "Grist Routes?"

There were ads in comic books in the 70s & early 80s for kids to walk around selling Grist.

Has any kid ever even done this? Even as a kid I always wondered who in the world were these kids who walked around and sold "Grist"...I have not thought about Grist since I was 10 years old...

3. I guess I'm too old to remember those ads but are you

talking about Grist, the online environmental magazine, or something else with the sam name?

4. It certainly had the same name...
...but I have no idea if it's the same publication.

There used to be ads in comics to recruit boys to "Sell Grist"- there was a picture of a paper boy
with a "Grist" bag...

you got to choose from corny prizes for pay...Sort of like selling cards, I guess...

I aways thought it was strange, but now I'm seeing DU links to Grist all of a sudden...
