11. Who is that, Dorothy Parker?
Minnie Pearl is a perfectly fine Plan B role model.

13. Yes, its Miss Parker.
I'd like to have a cutting wit, but I find it more suited to the plow oftentimes. Yeehaw.

Abigail Freemantle... aka Mother Abigail.

Stu Redmond (Gary Sinise) approaches the porch and asks "Who are you... really?"

To which Mother Abigail replies: "Your last hope."

I actually picked up the DVD about two weeks ago and re-watched it this past weekend. Casting was brilliant (other than Molly Ringwald-- don't get me started)!

First issue of the graphic novel will be out in September.

I think it's time for a remake of the mini-series-- it's been what? fifteen years?

18. Best Casting Choice: Bill Fagerbakke as Tom Cullen
Absolutely perfect.

Surprising but ultimately good: Corin Nemec as Harold Lauder.

I never would have imagined Jamie Sheridan as Randall Flagg, but he was great in that part. Also loved Ray Walston, Ossie Davis, Rob Lowe...

Like you said... all but Molly Ringwald.
