10. Erm.
Native English-speaker?

"Lady Chatterly's Lover" was considered a naughty book -- but D.H. Lawrence seems too proper to say something so coarse (not that there's nothing coarse in that book, but I found it tame when I was 12).

How about "Ulysses?"

how about Laurence Sterne's Tristam Shandy...that was a rather saucy book for its day and age... It was one of Thomas Jefferson's favorite books

25. Are you sure it's sexual?
In this quote, I think it's literal (wouldn't Swift have written "piece of arse", anyway?)

"The sorrel nag offered me a root, which he held
(after their manner, as we shall describe in its proper place) between his hoof and pastern; I took it in my hand, and, having smelt it, returned it to him again as civilly as I could. He brought out of the YAHOOS' kennel a piece of ass's flesh; but it smelt so offensively that I turned from it with loathing: he then threw it to the YAHOO, by whom it was greedily devoured."

Or is he just making a pun/using it as a metaphor?

I was reading about it in 'You are being lied to' - The Disinformation book.
