computer question--need some help...please
Why does my homepage keep changing back when I change it to a default page? The page it keeps falling back to is some webpage called www.dxcount.com or something like that. I have gone to Internet Options and changed it time and time again, but when I shut down the computer and reboot, there it is again....arrrgggg... I am so frustrated with this.

I've gone to my computer's website and Microsoft and printed off a few solutions, but this isn't working, so someone please help before I go nuts!!

2. Your Homepage Has Probably Been Hijacked
Sounds like your browser's been hijacked.

Follow #1's advice and grab Adaware or Spybot. They're both free and both will scan your system for things like this.

6. okay
I know this may sound like a stupid question, but I have to ask. How did it get hijacked? Was it something that was downloaded on that I got off the internet? My spouse is bad about downloading games...:eyes:

3. Real activists don't use Internet Explorer! Try this...
Click the last link in my signature. :)

P.S. I'm a website designer, so I use a variety of browsers, including Internet Explorer, to preview my web pages, but my default browser is Firefox.

4. Check your Add/Delete Software tab in Control Panel
I've had the same problem and had to root it out by deleting the software there. Make sure you want program you're deleting though...
