First you scoop some vanilla ice cream into a large glass, I personally enjoy French vanilla
And then you pour some Vernor's Ginger Ale over the top of that ice cream. A frothy head of foam will rise up to greet you, like the glory of a morning dawn. You're tempted to slurp off that vanguard of flavor as it starts to copiously rise from the top of the glass.

Go ahead, it's worth the temptation.

Now use your spoon to combine the delicious combination of soda and ice cream in your tasty beverage, savoring every spoonful that you present to your waiting lips.

The joy that you're experiencing is almost indescribable. But, I'll posit if Nirvana has a taste, it should taste like this.

You'll lose yourself in the glass. Time will have no meaning, as all other outside distractions will fade into momentary oblivion.

Before you know it, the sweet nectar is all gone. And all you're left with is the empty glass that contained your momentary piece of Heaven. The sweet, sweet moment is past and the afterglow a testament to your sumptuous indulgence.

That, my friends, is what it's like to have a BOSTON COOLER.

7. why is it called a Boston Cooler when Vernor's is a Michigan Thing?
I don't like Vernor's. don't like any root beer either.

But I would put Schweppe's Ginger Ale over that Vanilla Ice Cream in a heartbeat

8. Thanks for asking
No, it's not named after the city of Boston

It comes from the street in Detroit where the original Vernor's soda parlor was located

Schweppes? There's no comparison

9. agree to disagree. Don't like Vernor's because it tastes too much like Root Beer
which I detest. I like a drier lighter Ginger Ale. You have to admit Schweppes beats hell out of Canada Dry or anyone else's Ginger Ale.

10. I used to try all kinds of ginger ale when I was back in Virginia
No Vernors.

But now that I'm back home, I don't have to make those decisions

16. makes sense...the taste of Vernor's is the taste of home, so to speak. Mr YDIT
is very fond of Vernon's from his years in East Lansing. He corrupted our daughter into drinking it.
I just ignore them ..I do not drink soft drinks to any degree at all, and haven't for many years. I may have had one very small Coke in the last 18 months

15. Who has to admit that?
Canada Dry whups the schweppes. Take it from the Canadians, they know what they are talking about.
