I caught this Lisa Lampanelli last night on Comedy Central.

I had heard about her, saw her in that movie Drillbit Taylor, but that was about the extent of what I had known about her.

She's definitely an equal opportunity offender, I'll give her that. No one -- no one -- is off limits.

Some of her stuff was funny, but it also felt forced at times. Like she was offending just to offend, which never works out for comics.

Better than most raunchy comedians, though.

personally i think the whole "shock comedy" stuff is to cover up when a comedian doesn't have smart of witty material. i'll take eddie izzard over lisa lampanelli any day.

i will say this.. as a feminist i definitely think it is a good thing that a woman is making the same type of jokes that male comedians make(that women aren't supposed to make).
