1. That's going to be an incredible match.
This has to be the best overall lineup of WWE stars on one card. Batista, Cena, HHH, Undertaker.

Hell in a Cell is going to be messy. Have fun!

2. i'm a little disappointed that HHH is taking on Khali, but it looks like a good card...
was hoping for a HBK/Jericho match, but oh well.

4. I think you'll see something from Jericho
during HBK's "announcement". Won't be a match, but it'll be something.

9. My old man got me started on AWA wrestling
when i was just a little shaver back in the early 1960s - the era of Verne Gagne, the Crusher and the Bruiser, the Vachon Bros., Larry Hennig, et al., and I've been a fan since. Stopped believing it was real when I was about 13 but still remain entertained by it. Hated Hogan in the 1980s, got cable and discovered the old NWA/WCW in its 1980s heyday (The Steamboat-Flair series of matches back in 1989 remain the single greatest bouts EVAH). I loved the Attitude Era (Mick Foley, Steve Austin, the Rock, the Original DX) and tolerate Vince's current product except for Jericho, Michaels, Punk, Mr Kennedy and a few others who are athletic, entertaining, or both.

HIAC is used so infrequently that it remains a great gimmick match, though Foley through the cage and onto the tacks set a standard for insanity no one will ever match.

These days I prefer TNA, as the in ring work is so much better even if the writing is, shall we say, erratic. The women's division in TNA is made up (with the exception of Kong in the looks dept) of good looking women (I :loveya: Gail Kim) with real athletic ability who can put on convincing and often wildly entertaining matches. And Samoa Joe just plain kicks ass.

12. I think erratic is putitng nicely.
I'm not the biggest TNA fan.. but I love tuning in for the Knockouts division (Such talented women, and the Beautiful People although not the best of wrestlers are just fricken great heels) Samoa Joe, and LAX. (I've seen LAX live twice now . . they are awesomely talented.. and great guys out of character to boot)

Still TNA has awesome talent . . I'm going to tape the replay tonight as I missed Thursday's show.. Heard they had Styles/Angle again which should be worth watching.

14. You've seen LAX?
Just how big is SuperMex Hernandez? He looks like a freaking beast and has to be at least as strong as Batista or Big Show. I've seen that guy throw 250-80 pound guys around like sacks of potatoes when he does the "Border Toss" and that's a move where the opponent can't do anything to help make it look good.

15. When I saw him last. .
It was last year at a charity event put on by an indy fed called UWF (In no way related to the old Bill Watts UWF.. or the Japanese 80s fed UWF obviously) and they were allowed to book TNA talent (JBL, Ron Simmons were also there but in non competing roles obviousy. He's not really all that tall. Mainly 6'2 (But he looks like a beast cause TNA has a lot of smaller wrestlers) but don't let that dissappoint you.. he's plently fucking strong. And the border toss is awesome live.

It was a wargames typed match and Hernadez took a poor indy wrestler I think named Joey Macktion or something.. and border tossed him across rings (IF you've ever seen wargames.. you know it's two rings pushed up against each other surrounded by a cage) It was cringe worthy, painful looking, overly awesome,

The thing is like I said out of characters they are great guys. After the show ended he an d Homicide took their time walking around the ring shaking hangs, being very appreciative of the audience etc. etc. They are probably my fav tag team duo right now. . . (Ever since their series of matches with A.J and Christopher Daniels)

The first time I saw them it was mostltly a TNA house show.. but under the UWF banner . . and going by that.. if an actual TNA house show ever comes to VA near me.. and I can afford it.. I'm definitely going. I've bene told the house shows are far better than the T.V product.

10. I have to work Sunday,
which means I'll be missing Summerslam, but I will be getting Tuesday off to go to the Smackdown/ECW tapings. I'm hoping Finley will kick much ass.

11. I demand a full live report
Ever since bad luck has forced me to move back home.. my wrestling watch has shruken significantly (No more indys/Japanese Wrestling for awhile it seems "sighs")

Still I'm able to keep up with WWE and TNA still . . so that's good.

I'm hoping to be able to buy Summerslam tommorrow as a few days early B-Day gift (hopefully)

Edge/Taker will be tremendous.. and Edge has been in a fucking awesome role the past few weeks single handidly drumming up the interest when ti was already pretty fucking high.

Cena/Batista . . it's awesome your going to see it live.. However it still screams "should've been saved for Mania" to me . . but hey.. who knows.. No doubt the audience should be STOKED for this match.

Hardy/MVP should be fun . . . Hardy's been trying to gain grown ever since his sixty day suspenseion.. and he's had good matches with Edge and Shelton lately..a nd this has been a nice wittle feud

Punk will more than likely beat JBL .. and hopefully that'll get his title reign a little shot in the arm. The Straight Edge Champion needs a boost.

Khali/Triple H.. errr... A 10-11 minute match that may or may not be a disaster.. just depends on what they do.

I dont' feel like touching on the remaining few matches.

Things are looking good on the card though.

18. How did I miss this thread before? Huge pro-wrestling and MMA fan here!
How did you like SummerSlam? I listened to the recap on Live Audio Wrestling tonight, and it sounded like there were some pretty good moments. The Jericho-Michaels storyline sounded like it got the crowd riled up! I rarely order wrestling PPVs these days because they can be pretty expensive (especially considering all of the political donations I've been making these days)
