Why does the West Coast get so mistreated by NBC Olympics?
Our prime time coverage sucks

Everyone has a DVR these days.

why cant we get the morning events live if we want?

nobody cares about beach volleyball here unless, there a big case of Corona next to the net yet it gets shoved down our throats ( Indoor volleyball, now that's the real deal and should be on primetime)

In the future, nothing, ever, should be taped, regardless or origination time zone

Rant over

1. Because the EAST
has the power. Who cares about the west coast??? It is frustrating that the west coast gets screwed no matter what the event.

2. See if you can get Canadian Broadcasting Company
Several metropolitan areas near the Canadian border can get LIVE coverage through the Canadian Broadcasting Company(CBC) network. Like last night, saw Michael Phelps win in the butterfly LIVE on CBC, and at the same time on NBC...some drivel behind the scenes stories...

3. Because real Americans live in the East. You westerners are just a bunch of cowboys.
Just kidding. I am a native Californian.

But someone actually said that to me 10 years ago when I was in college in Massachusetts. He also added that "only Easterners made the sacrificies to build this nation".

4. The real abuse is that "LIVE" slug in the upper right hand corner.
NBC should at least have the decency to admit that it's a rerun of the live feed received on the East Coast.

5. No kidding!
I'm so sick of staying up past 1 am to watch the end of the best events.

I have a DVR, but if I tried to record it and then watch at a decent hour, I'd see spoilers before I had a chance. Every time. For example, the women's all-around. I stayed up until about 1:30 to see the results because I knew damn well that if we won, either Shawn or Nastia's picture would be plastered on the front page of everything by the time I woke up the next morning.

So would it kill them to show it at the same time as the East coast and thereby have it be done at a decent hour? One would think not, but apparently it's too much to ask.

My biggest pet peeve is when they put awards shows on West coast delay. Especially when the awards show is IN LOS ANGELES. I'm 5 miles from where the awards are being handed out, but I have to wait 3 hours longer than everyone else in the country to find out the results? Total crap.
