Good Morning
It was a drive that most would have
Done in two or three days
I did it non-stop
And will do it again, and again
Only to see you, you see do you?
To be there with you as the moon glowed yellow
Will the bats get in?
No silly, we don't have bats here
The next morning
The dew covered the weeds
I wrapped my hand around them and squeezed
And pulled, and pulled, and pulled
The dew coated my calloused wrinkled hand
And I licked it, and again
It tasted alright
As you came out and smiled at me
I still have the callous
