got a different laptop today and WOW

upgraded from a persnickety Toshishba Tecra to a clean Compaq Evo610c

on paper it didn't look like much, from 1.8GHZ to 2.4GHZ but damn! the different in performance is amazing!

and my 'z' key works first time every time now too

i desperately need to upgrade mine (11 gig hard drive and a pentium II? it is to laugh), but have to wait until my dad can score me a new one.
