Have you seen the ads for the "new" Ruby Tuesday?
There's one running where the commercial guy walks up to a table for two and says, "The 70s called. They want their lamp back." He promptly takes out the Tiffany-style lamp and replaces it with a lamp clearly inspired by 1961.

The 70s called. They want their lamp back, and we're replacing it with the...er...1960s.

1. I noticed that the last time I was in a Ruby Tuesday.
It's.....really weird.

2. Mr. MG went to the "new" Ruby Tuesday about a month ago
He now calls it "Boobie Tuesday". Apparently their "makeover" consisted of the same old crappy food now served up on square plates ("Look! Square plates! We're a bistro now!") by chicks in low-cut t-shirts. Who have been coached to be...er...VERY friendly with the clientele. And to bend over a lot.

And despite all these brilliant updates, Mr. MG is uninterested in going back. Imagine that...

11. Is the food truly better?
We went there when it first opened up in our neck of the woods and were turned off by the plastic silverware in plastic bags. And the wings were stone cold. We never went back. But now, since BWW bought out Don Pablo's, they closed our DPs and expanded into that space. With that much overhead, they'd better be decent, or they'll be closed in the blink of an eye.

12. it depends
the one i go to is on the ohio state campus, at a major intersection, so it's pretty much always busy. I've always had real silverware there, and their wings are good (though their beer is ridiculously expensive)

14. Well, this one went from a tiny strip mall location
to a giant brick standalone spot on a really busy road in the suburb that is Chain Store Hell, so I do hope they can upgrade to real silverware. Eh--we might give them a second chance. Mr. MG isn't much of a beer drinker, but he is a chicken wing connoisseur!

10. ROFL can I sell it to them?
It seems they'll try anything at this point! (Personally, I like my hubby's new name for 'em. Maybe they'll buy that!) (Yes, I'm looking for a quick buck here!)
