4. When I got a new computer with VISTA....

My scanner would not work by pushing the scan button on the printer. The scanner will work using Readiris for HP.

That is an excellent review site, so take a look around and see what else they have that fits your budget. I have an ancient HP 3300c (I think that's the model) and it stopped working with XP after one of their "Service Pack" updates even with HP's driver updates. So, when I have the desk space, I'll be getting that Microtek :)
