Poll question: "Running on Empty" and Jackson Browne - Are the Republicans really that stupid?
This is my first poll - EVER!

Anyway, I can't believe the Republicans have used yet another song that says exactly the OPPOSITE of anything they stand for in their campaign.

So, I ask you, fellow DUers, why do they keep doing it?

1. nothing new, it's the same people who misheard Born in the USA....
they don't really care what the song it actually about, but what they think it's about or how it makes most people feel...

2. I know! I know! That's what drives me crazy. It's almost a metaphor for the whole party -
they keep doing the same stupid shit over and over and the GET REWARDED FOR IT by winning elections!

5. I just wish we would hit back harder and expose their hypocrisy more
I hate the crap they do - no sense of irony, or a very distorted one. :puke:

6. Agreed. In fact, I was in my late 20s before I realized that some of my friends acutally
were Republican. And my irony was lost on them. Sigh.
