Did I mention I still haven't heard about that job?
Eight days now! What the hell is that all about? I called the lady today, she was not in and is supposed to call me back today. It’s really starting to get to me, I don’t do stress very well and I REALLY want this job. It’s been hell, and if I don’t get it…..because they gave me so long to lust after it…it’s gonna be even worse.

The person who would be my direct boss said she wants to hire me and has been calling the head office to try to push them in my direction. But they are taking forever!

I’m this close to calling them and telling them to go fuck themselves. But that’s just me.

SHould I call her later today agian?

1. If you haven't done the TV interview yet
mention on the air you're looking.

3. Don't get angry with the woman on your side.
Don't make her sorry she is pushing for you. But, a polite phone call later in the day would be appropriate.

8. Here's what I do
Act real casual and don't be impatient. Act like you don't care if yu get the job or not. Call once a week at most. It worked for me for my current job.

6. Do not... Do NOT be impatient...

Nothing will get you taken off the list faster than making them think you're clingy, needy, impatient, whiny, etc.

I'm not saying you are, but you have to be patient. The hiring cycle these days can be quite prolonged.

Be PATIENT.

9. Don't push. Wait until tomorrow.

Don't tell them to fuck off. It tends not get you hired.

<on edit>

I am in the same boat as we speak.

11. My husband's job was on hold for about 2+ weeks so the details
could be worked out. Sometimes people critical to even minor employment details go on vacation. :) Hope everything works out.
